Minecraft - Link to the Past - Zora's Domain and Lake Hylia

Time to continue on with my Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past recreation in Minecraft. Today, we'll head into Zora's Domain and jump down to Lake Hylia.

Heading in to Zora's Domain, I ran across yet another major challenge. The way the world is laid out, Zora's Domain, the nice watery area, sits right next to the peak of Death Mountain. Seeing how my Death Mountain isn't truly a tall mountain, I had to improvise as the screens below will show.

The Witch's Hut. Care for a potion?

Approaching the entrance.
Here is where the major difference between my world and the original show. My rendition of Zora's Domain is enclosed within a cave instead of appearing open at the top. By doing this, I was able to allow Death Mountain to flow over he top of the domain instead of ending abruptly and becoming a water oasis. Once you get inside, I think it still turned out very well while keeping the water and flowing style of the original.
Ready to enter?
Your first view of the inside.
Inside Zora's Domain, the walking paths that you were able to walk in the game are all still represented by 1 deep water. The idea is that you can walk the paths as long as your head is above water. Go under water (2 deep) and you'll need to have the flippers already. If only I knew how to write mods...
A simple cascade gets you up to the level where the King resides.
The entrance into the "main" chamber. I really love how the Jungle Trees look underground.
Here is the main room from the game's perspective. Did I over do it?
The waterfall where you meet the King and get the flippers.
Have a heart (piece).

The shot below shows the view from the outside. It, along with other areas behind Death Mountain, still require a bunch of cleanup to make it blend in and look more natural instead of a big dirt box. You can see where I started shaping it a little, but it has a long ways to go.
From the outside. Death Mountain meets the "Zora Blob".
Next we're going to head down south to Lake Hylia. Our first stop is the merchant just south of the bridge next to Link's House (upper left).
A little shopping before you continue?

Below is an overview of the entire lake. You'll notice the patch of glowstones underwater in the center. These surround a switch that when pressed teleport you to the pool just outside Zora's Domain. This is the "whirlpool" found in the original game. With the exception of the one in the Swamp, all of them work.

The far south-eastern path.
Caves to the Ice Rod.

That concludes the tour of what I've completed for now. The following images are WIP images from where I left off. The first is the swamp. It's mostly complete and I'm going to be moving on to the main structure in the area next.

The small fairy fountain in the Swamp.
And here we have the WIP of the Blacksmith's House. Kakariko will go on the left but as you can see, this is still in very rough form.
Future home of the blacksmith.
That's all I have for now. See you next time!
